AldeaTech

Information and communication technologies for development, climate, soil and digital farm advice.

Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D) are integrated as a cross-cutting approach to scale Fundación Aldea services and reach as many Aldea families as possible, even in real time.

ICT4D refers to the application of new technologies in developing countries within socioeconomic development, with a focus on poverty reduction.

Digital solutions are complemented by technologies that measure farm parameters to improve productivity, such as SoilsCare soil scanners.

Aldea Global and Fundación Aldea have started implementing SoilsCare soil scanners as an innovative alternative to improve decision-making in coffee. These scanners are part of the AldeaTech Digital Technical Assistance Plan to improve average productivity among members.
