Our Community Philanthropy
Community-led wellbeing in rural areas, with family participation and local resources.
Community philanthropy is defined as a development model with the participation of associated producers who promote, from rural communities, the self-management of their wellbeing through organizational capacities, active family participation, and economic contributions and local resources to achieve their goals.
As the Community Philanthropy program is still in a pilot phase with this approach, Fundación Aldea has set out to promote internal and external communication to stimulate community philanthropy, mobilizing assets that help face the impact of crises and climate change in rural areas.
The Happy Home program also promotes women’s leadership in community philanthropy organizations supported by Fundación Aldea, with more women in board positions with decision-making power.
